Dr. Ana Maria Trenchi Bottazzi is a TREMENDOUS motivational speaker! Throughout her lifetime, she has consistently been faced with many nearly impossible challenges, and yet has TRIUMPHED over every one.
When her budding concert career was interrupted by a near-fatal car accident, she defied the doctors’ negative prognosis that she would never play again. Her “yes-I-can” attitude had been instilled at a very young age. That attitude, in combination with exceptional training, focus, commitment, discipline, hard work, high standards, courage, perseverance, a deep faith in God, and NEVER GIVING UP, enabled her to endure 13 years of grueling re-building of her ability to play. Her concert career resumed dramatically. The doctors were WRONG.
She received OUTSTANDING REVIEWS in her long-delayed Town Hall debut. She was AMAZING at her next recital at Avery Fisher Hall where, to prove to herself that her memory was intact after her accident, she asked the audience to choose the program from a repertoire of 100 pieces. She then played the program from memory, drawing ECSTATIC APPLAUSE from the audience and RAVE REVIEWS from the critics!
Dr. Bottazzi and her conductor husband, Dr. Bruno Bottazzi, promised each other that they would perform the Rachmaninoff Second Piano Concerto with her playing and him conducting, at Carnegie Hall. It took 33 years, BUT THEY HAD SET THE GOAL AND THEY ACHIEVED IT.
Dr. Bottazzi never stops stretching herself or developing her mind. Although she already had 3 master’s degrees and a doctorate degree, she WAS ONE OF THE THREE, OUT OF 150 CANDIDATES, ACCEPTED at The Juilliard School for a second doctorate. SHE WAS THE FIRST SOUTH AMERICAN PERSON TO ACHIEVE THAT DISTINCTION. She achieved her goal in only 2 years, while simultaneously concertizing, teaching and raising two children!
Dr. Bottazzi has accomplished so much in her lifetime. She loves encouraging her audiences to set goals and work hard to accomplish them, regardless of the obstacles. Many of them do. She is an incredibly motivating and inspiring person. To be mentored by her is a privilege and a life-changing experience!
